Weekend double-feature
My wife and I have seen so many movies in the theaters in the ten years of knowing one another. Somehow, we've never done a double-feature until this weekend. And boy was it a doozy.
Obsession

The first movie of the day, and thank god we saw it as early in the day as possible, was brand-new horror classic, Obsession. In short, it's the most scared I've been in a theater watching a film. At times, I was watching a quarter of the screen through the brim of my cap. It was truly astounding and worth your time if you have the stomach for it.
Is God Is

The afternoon choice was another directorial debut, Is God Is. This one was an absolute blast. While featuring sometimes intense subject matter, the tone was thankfully much more manageable on my stress levels. The writing and acting was so creative, and the music has stuck with me long after the film ended. It's definitely worth a watch if you have the chance when it comes to streaming (as I believe it's gone from most theaters).
